Please read these terms carefully before using fairead. By using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
By accessing or using fairead ("the Service", "we", "us", "our"), operated at fairead.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and fairead. Your continued use of the Service following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
fairead is an AI-powered document analysis platform that provides plain-English summaries and clause-level breakdowns of legal documents including, but not limited to, tenancy agreements, employment contracts, service agreements, and other legal instruments under UK law.
To access certain features of the Service, including document storage and subscription plans, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
Free accounts are subject to usage limits as published on our pricing page. Registered users may upgrade to a Pro subscription or purchase individual Pay-As-You-Go analyses at any time.
The Free plan provides a limited number of document analyses per month as detailed on our pricing page. Free plan analyses are subject to standard-tier AI processing. No payment details are required.
The Pro plan is billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of purchase. Pro subscribers receive unlimited detailed analyses, document vault storage, and priority processing. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
Individual document analyses may be purchased on a one-time basis. Each purchase grants access to a single detailed analysis, including all premium features for that document.
Subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Where a technical fault prevents access to the Service, we will assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Pay-As-You-Go purchases are non-refundable once the analysis has been processed. To request a refund, contact us at business@fairead.co.uk within 14 days of the charge.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

Before signing any legal document, entering into any contractual arrangement, or taking any legal action, you should consult a qualified solicitor or legal adviser who is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or another appropriate regulatory body. Citizens Advice, Law Centres, and the Law Society referral service can help you find appropriate legal assistance.
AI-generated analysis may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. The Service cannot account for all factual circumstances, oral agreements, side letters, or contextual factors that may affect the legal meaning of a document. We make no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any analysis.
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, are owned by or licensed to fairead. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use our intellectual property except as necessary to use the Service.
You retain all ownership rights in any documents you upload to the Service. By uploading a document, you grant fairead a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and analyse that document solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your document content to train AI models or share it with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service.
PDF reports and analysis outputs generated by the Service are provided for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit these outputs without our prior written consent.
Without limiting the foregoing, we are not liable for:
Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the Service shall not exceed the total amounts paid by you to fairead in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
You may close your account and stop using the Service at any time by contacting us at business@fairead.co.uk or through your account settings. Closing your account will delete your stored documents and analysis history after a 30-day grace period.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if:
On termination, all licences granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall continue to apply, including Sections 6, 7, 8, and 11.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account.
